Younger 4 Longer

Younger 4 Longer was set up in 2000 by Registered nurse and Specialist Exercise Instructor Diane Priest. It is an exercise programme for older people and people with long term health conditions, along with occasional social activities, e.g. afternoon teas, harvest lunches and long weekend trips away.

We meet on Monday mornings, at 09.15 we have an exercise to music session and at 10.30 we have a Phase 4 cardiac / pulmonary rehabilitation circuit session which is suitable for people who have completed a hospital based Phase 3 rehabilitation programme and are now exercising in the community.  Both sessions are open to all people wishing to improve and maintain health, strength, good balance and independence while having the opportunity to make new friends.

Meetings are lively, friendly and usually involve interesting speakers on a wide range of topics.  There is always time for a cup of coffee or tea and a chat during the evening. We are a friendly group and our meetings are fun and filled with laughter.

We do a variety of activities outside our monthly meetings, these include art, walking and sewing groups.

Details of sessions can be found on my website where you can book directly:

Tea Dancing

Strictly Come Tea Dancing is usually, but not always on the first Wednesday of every month. Come along and dance to a live band from 2:30 – 4:30 pm, provided by the five musicians of the Soggy Biscuit Dance Band.

They will play Strict Tempo, Ballroom, Latin, Modern and ‘Oldtime’ numbers to get you on your toes. Or… just come and tap your feet listening to the high-quality, musical entertainment in a warm and friendly social atmosphere.

An entrance fee of £10 per person is payable on the door (£5 for non dancers).

A selection of home-made refreshments are available for you to purchase at the break.

For more information or to book the band for your event please ring Ian Thorp on 07939 030875 or visit us on Facebook.

Harmony Through Sound

Join Justin and I for a soothing and restorative Sound Bath.  This is your opportunity to pause, reset and find calm.  Sound Baths help to reduce stress and anxiety; improve sleep quality; gently release emotional blockages without going into overwhelm; calm the mind and the nervous system and anchor you back into the present moment.  They have been proven to lower blood pressure and heart rate.  As a lot of todays chronic illness states are stress related, it is very important to gently release stress from the system on a regular basis, before it can start to have negative effects on the body.

Get Up and Bounce

Dorset’s Premier Bouncy Castle Hire, Inflatables, Slides, Fun Runs, Games and more.

We have a huge range of Inflatable Party Packages and regularly set up our Bouncy Castles At Colehill Village Hall.

Floral Arrangement Club

Some months we have a visiting demonstrator when you can sit back, relax and watch an expert produce the most amazing arrangements, and other evenings we have workshops where you can learn more about the art of flower arranging.
